The exact cause of asthma is not known. A combination of factors (Family gene and certain environmental exposure) interacts to cause asthma. The factors include

a)      An inherited tendency to get allergy

b)      Parents who have asthma

c)      Recurrent respiratory tract infection during child-hood.

d)     Contact with some airborne allegers or exposure to some viral infection during infancy or early child-hood.
