Abstract
Superior vena cava syndrome is a potential emergency most commonly caused by intrathoracic (lung or
mediastinal) malignancy. We present a case of SVC syndrome which developed in a forty year-old patient,
which was then revealed to be due to large-cell neuroendocrine carcinoma. We also discuss the clinical
presentation, etiology, diagnosis and management of a case of malignant SVC syndrome.
