Sarcoidosis is a chronic inflammatory multisystem disease of unknown etiology with a varied clinical presentation. Lungs are the most common sites of involvement and responsible for most of the morbidity and mortality associated with sarcoidosis. A combination of clinical, radiological and histological criteria is required to diagnose sarcoidosis. However, these criteria bear a similarity with tuberculosis (TB) and pose a great challenge in countries with high prevalence of TB. Sarcoidosis is often misdiagnosed and maltreated as TB. Here, we describe a case of sarcoidosis with pulmonary and cutaneous manifestations.
