Abstract
Chronic cough is a common reason to seek medical help worldwide and is associated with decreased
quality of life. Chronic cough has been reported to be refractory to guideline based treatment in approximately
42% of cases. Sometimes, it becomes a great challenge for the physicians. Both pulmonary and extrapulmonary
diseases are responsible for the causation of chronic cough. In the following article, our endeavour
is to focus the treatment options of refractory chronic cough.
