Abstract
Tuberculosis (TB) is a major cause of mortality and morbidity worldwide. Though occurring in a small
percentage, central nervous system (CNS) tuberculosis is a devastating form of extra-pulmonary tuberculosis.
It is responsible for a major share of mortality in tuberculosis patients. CNS TB usually occurs secondary
to tuberculosis infection elsewhere in the body, commonly in miliary tuberculosis. Dissemination of
tuberculosis is rare from tubercular lymphadenitis. Here we present a case of disseminated tuberculosis
involving CNS (both brain and meninges) from tubercular lymphadenitis.
Key Words: Disseminated tuberculosis, CNS tuberculosis, Tubercular lymphadenitis.
