Are Our Children At Risk For Cardiovascular Disease?
Background: The objective was to find out the selected risk factors for CVD namely, physical inactivity, overweight and obesity, among adolescent school children from affluent families of Dhaka city. Methods: The study was done from July 2006 to June 2007,among 386 high school children from two selected schools chosen by purposive sampling. Physical activity was assessed by using a modified Global Physical Activity Questionnaire (GPAQ).
